Thank you Alex, but the credit really has to go to those who actually did the work!

I love bikes which have patina, and where possible, original finish. With this, there's the additional benfit of not having to source NOS parts, or to have the old ones replated.

I'll post pics when I've built the bike. At the moment, I'm trying to find 1930s period-correct (or correct-looking) 36/36 hole rims to build onto the Maxi hubs. Sadly, the bars, which are integral with the handlebar stem, and are nickel-plated, are too badly-damaged to use, so I need to source suitable bars and stem as well. I know that the AVA bars and stem were available pre-war, so maybe I'll look out for them, since there's little chance, I expect, of finding a bar/stem combo similar to the original. A saddle shouldn't be too much of a problem, I expect.

The items I do have, apart from the Maxi hubs, are Alcyon pedals and chainset, bottom bracket, headset, steel LAM brakes, nickel-plated seat post, Osgear deraiileur and a very nice Pelissier mudguard extension.
