Subject: [CR] 3 piece hub dissasembly

Yesterday I tried using my fly press to disassemble the flanges from a 3 piece hub.

Did this by placing the hub with the axle vertical and pointing towards the ram of the press. The axle nuts and cones were loosened (but not removed) with the upper nut unscrewed to the end of the axle, opposite the ram.

Machinist's parallels were placed under the upper flange for support.

Then the ram came down causing the cones and bearings to push the shell away from the flange.

Repeated for the other side.

No hot oil bath required.

This was so easy that I'm tempted to make my own 3 piece hubs. (hence my request for bearing races)
