Subject: [CR] Later Falcon catalog pages or information request

All,

I would be delighted if any list member has in their possession Falcon catalogs or adverts that they would be willing to share or sell from any period after the 1974 catalog on Mark Bulgier's site and the 1975 that Robert Broderick let me view (that are in fact page-identical). Also, have any members who have later Falcons in their possession posted pictures and/or have reliable dating information?

I get a couple of inquiries per month from my page that Sheldon posted; often they are questions about dating or model hierarchy for the later bikes, and I have yet to see any catalog pages for any of those bikes. This was also a period in my life when I was "too busy for bikes" so I have no personal recollections to guide me either.

While looking at a lot of pictures had taught me much about the frame changes--the changed decal, the additon of the Union jack decal on the seat-stay cap (after dropping? or supplementing? the early wrap-overs), the switch from the lovely head tube badge to a decal etc.--I'd love to see some printed material.

Eventually I hope to be able to post a better Falcon page than my first "go"--and all contributions will be humbly and gratefully ackknowledged.

(BTW, let me also include a vote of thanks for all who have posted from Cirque--maybe next year I will be able to attend.)

Cheers,
