Hi, Anthony---

I don't know if this is the case in your situation, but in those types of instances where the UK listing says "UK only" or some such, the ebay seller had to SPECIFICALLY CLEAR MY PARTICULAR ACCOUNT TO ALLOW ME TO BID ON THE ITEM. It was not enough that the ebay seller said he was "okay" or had "no problem" with me bidding---he had to green light my particular ebay handle individually in the system. I lost out on a couple of items because the UK seller either was unaware of this fact, forgot it, or didn't know quite how to accomplish it. In those auctions where the UK seller DID properly clear me, everything worked out fine.

\r?\n> I have been blocked from bidding on

\r?\n> ebayUK several times lately because my primary address is in

\r?\n> the US even though my family is still in the UK, and I

\r?\n> wanted to have the item shipped there.

\r?\n> In each case, I had contacted the seller and asked if they

\r?\n> were OK with the arrangement and been told "no problem"

\r?\n> It seems that if the seller lists UK only as a ship

\r?\n> destination, ebay blocks anybody from outside of that area.

\r?\n> I even established an ebay UK account using my brothers

\r?\n> address, but because I don't have a UK bank account for

\r?\n> payments, ebay will not validate my account.

\r?\n> The only thing left is to have my brother open an ebay

\r?\n> account and proxy bid on items I want.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Don't get disappointed at the last second.
