Subject: [CR] THE Saronni Bike

A question for The List regarding Giuseppe Saronni's iconic '82 Colnago, upon which he won the World Championship while riding on the Del Tongo team: I'm sure you are all familiar with the bike ("Saronni Red" burgundy color with white panels on the seattube and downtube, Concor saddle, Super Record gruppo, block print Colnago pantographed stem in black with white in-fill*, white bar tape, gum hoods with black brake cables...) I have equipped my '82-'83 Saronni Super in much the same way.  But I have this nagging question that no amount of internet scouring has been able to answer... What was the white bar tape Beppe used on his bikes?  Was it simply white cloth?  Or maybe Bike Ribbon? All of the pics I have found online have been too darn small to provide a definitive answer.  Can the CR brothers and sisters help this tortured soul to get a good night's sleep???
