I found it interesting the comment about older bikes having sole.this is something that is being lost.i feel this way about old tools bikes, musical instuments,guns cars etc.whey were hand made with great love of the right materials and true talent. ihave a friend who wants me to get a new lite bike ,i just cant get into them , and it is there is no sole there,give me fansy lugs and hand work.kurt skelton eureka ca.
