Chris and all,

It was my pleasure to let everyone poke around. The fact is though, that much of my stuff and goodies were stashed away in storage and whatnot while the construction is ongoing. Once I'm able to spread out and become really organized in the process, there is A LOT more fun stuff to see. For example, no one even went up to my old garage, which is where the machine shop will be along with the knifemaking and metal polishing area. By the next event, the whole package should be available for the full effect. When the Bentley is finished and up in the garage, there will be more room to spread out. Right now it's just taking up space in my shop.

As far as Chuck's question regarding temperature; like Chris said it was a perfect day. But there are a few of us that are sensitive to the sun after MANY years of riding in these warm conditions. We have to protect our skin, since as children, there was little if any sun screen ever used. I generally ride with long sleeves no matter what the temp is. I do prefer to be warm; as many know, I'm rather sensitive to cold of any type. It comes with "the territory" so to speak.

Thanks again to all who attended, and a special thanks to Sterling Peters for putting the event together. I look forward to the first full blown party on all 3 decks, on my home shooting range, and all the other fun features of a real Mancave.

The day started out in typical paradise fashion: slightly cool and vaguely overcast. As the day and ride progressed things warmed up a bit, making me glad that I had just worn a short sleeved jersey. But it was beautiful and everyone survived relatively unscathed. We were all resuscitated by Sterling's excellent barbecue and copious amounts of barley soda.

I neglected to mention in my initial post that Brian's new shop, aka The Ultimate Mancave, is nearing completion, and will be spectacular. Brian very kindly allowed us all to poke around and get very nosy, which was quite a treat.

Hello all,

On June 19th Brian Baylis and Sterling Peters hosted a very enjoyable event, The

Matt Gorski Birthday Bike Ride Extravaganza.

It was a lot of fun, beginning with a well paced ride that included a couple of

hills to keep us honest. I met many great people, renewed my acquaintance with

old friends, and generally had a wonderful time. Many thanks to Brian and

Sterling for kindly hosting the event, and a big Happy Birthday to Matt. Here is

a link to a few photographs from the event.
