Hey Matthew: Beautiful for sure. Very similar to the 72 Raleigh Super Course I'm putting together - almost an identical "vision". Thanks for sharing and I'll do the same when mine is said and done.

\r?\n> Gang,

\r?\n> I just posted some pics to my Flickr of a recently

\r?\n> completed build that I am particularly proud of: my take on

\r?\n> a mid-century French "porteur" bike...or "poor-teur" as I

\r?\n> like to think of it, as it was built almost entirely of

\r?\n> spare bits, hand-me-downs and parts acquired in trade.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Lotsa modified parts hanging off of this circa '71 Fuji

\r?\n> Finest, which was rescued from a garbage heap on the roof of

\r?\n> a Brooklyn "punk house"/squat.  The poor thing had been

\r?\n> abandoned, covered in gold spray paint and left for dead

\r?\n> before being saved by Brooklyn framebuilder Johnny

\r?\n> Coast.  Mr. Coast was kind enough to pass it on to me

\r?\n> (it didn't fit him) because I promised him that "I had a

\r?\n> vision for it".

\r?\n> My "vision" has become a reality and I now have a pretty

\r?\n> fun little "around town" bike that has already made a number

\r?\n> of trips to the beach, loaded down with beer and a

\r?\n> serape.
