The bike: For sale is a Richard Sachs Fillet Brazed Tange Aero tubed bike with Shimano AX components. The frame has barely been ridden (as confirmed by the original owner) but the parts were used on another bike and are therefore used.

* Seat tube c to c : 53cm

* Top tube, c to c : 54cm

* Stand over - 73cmThis bike is extremely unique in that it is the only fillet brazed Aero tubed Richard Sachs bike in existence. The original owner, who resides in Connecticut went to Sachs in the eighties to ask him to build an aero bike. Sachs agreed, and the original plan called for Sachs to sculpt lugs from the plain jane Tange lugs. That plan was scrapped in favor of fillet brazing, after Sachs made a prototype lug that the owner deemed to be overly ornate. The final bike sports all the braze ons for Shimano Duara Ace AX components, including a screw in for the aero shifter 'wart', and special cable routing for the side actuated AX front derailleur.It's been up on Ebay a couple times, either because no one bid or the high bidder flaked.

It's a very unique bike and a part of American frame building history - $2500
