Thanks all, Peter and Don etc, for all the mail and postings about Raleigh. AS I said I rode my FIRST race on a OLD pre WW2 Raleigh, did a 25MlTT in 1-7 not bad for a 16yr old. SO I am very attached to Raleighs. I did have all the info provided BUT I wanted to see how many members KNOW anything about, (in MY mind, the standard setter in bikes). Like many old English and German cars, Raleighs had THAT distinctive feature that we ALL recognise, When I came over to the USA, Yanks all said "Hay limey where's your Raleigh 10 speed?"
