The frame looks very much like the frame on mine carrier bike, mine is painted as a Swedish monark, but it is definitely not a monark, the previous owner said it was a massi frame. I have searched info about that name but not found any. It is a very nice frame to ride on, it is such joy to use it, fast and stable.

Hi Peter,

You do have quite a fine looking bike there and it is very possible that it is a MASI.

But I do wonder, you say that the previous owner thought it was a MASSI, but could he have been mistaken on which letter was repeated?

Could this really be an example of the very rare and almost fabled MAASI?

Search the Bicycle Rendezvous Archives for MAASI, there was quite a discussion on that subject a few years back.

Whatever it finally turns out to be though, you do have a very nice bike <g>

Best wishes,
