Subject: [CR] Early California Twin Plate Masi For Sale 55cm

I have reluctantly decided to sell my early Carlsbad Twin Plate Masi #247.  I have way too many bikes and this one is just a little small for me.  It is a Masi 55cm, which fits more like a 54 or a 53.  The color is Masi "Orange-Red"  like the one on the front of the Cali Masi brochure:

The bike was painstakingly restored to a show-quality, as-new finish.  The paint and decals were faithfully re-done from a bare-metal frame, using an original-paint Carlsbad Masi as a guide.  The paint is very well done with only a very thin clear coat over the decals, like it was from the factory.  All parts are either N.O.S. or pristine original including the Everest freewheel and chain, flat release brake calipers, early "keyhole" brake levers, Campy cables, Martano rims (I will include the correct art-deco decals but didn't have the heart to remove/replace the later bowties), Unicanitor saddle, etc.  Also included on this bike is a Faliero Masi pantographed stem.  Here are some high-resolution photos on Wooljersey:

It pains me to sell, but I just don't have enough room.  The price is $2,500 firm, plus shipping.  At this time, I am only offering it to the list.

Not shown but included is a contrasting yellow Silca pump that perfectly matches the handlebar tape and decals.  The bike is a steal at this price, but unfortunately symptomatic of the current lousy economy.
