Subject: [CR] Cable Routing Question - Nit Picking ?

Ahoy ! I am asking from the perspective of "concouse perfect". Maybe it doesn't matter, maybe it does. My inquiry pertains to routing the der cables under the bot brkt shell.

Bike in question is a lugged Bianchi/Columbus w/Campag drop-outs, I'm guessing at end of time line or a "KOF" squeak-by.

BB shell has vent holes for drainage - a la standard config. No, the bb shell is not set-up for the plastic bracket that routes cables.

The guides brazed onto the underside of the bb shell are as follows. Two, typical channels to route the cable. Each channels has the same added feature. Approximately mid-way ("6 o'clock")  there is a pair of small tabs (tongue shaped tabs) that are bent over so to form a guide. One could, with a screw driver, pry open the tabs.

So, with respect to these tabs on the cable guide - Is the cable routing intended (1) to run outer cable housing in the channel and secure with the tabs? (2) to run merely inner cable  with or without a liner sleeve so the bb shell does not become sawed?

I could probably do either.

Ah, but the question is which method is "concourse perfect" ? Or, maybe it does not matter. (Hahaha - certainly wouldn't if it were a Raleigh. I jest with love. Can't you feel the love?)

Thanks.
