The Criterium Setas that came on my black 76 California GC Masi ($700 all in, bought new!) were definitely more salmon than orange. I'm using yellow and black vittoria EVOs now and while they are not period correct, they ride great and look sharp against the black frame and yellow decals.

Thanks Phil, I've seen the green ones but didn't know about the orange ones. I suspect they aren't made anymore, but would guess there are still some kicking around somewhere. It might be too bright an orange though. The Clements are more of a salmon color, although it's hard to say how much they have faded over the years.

I should clarify that the seller told me he ordered this bike directly from Masi and picked it up at the Vigorelli Velodrome in 1973. He says everything on the bike is original, including the tires, but with the exception of the headset, which had started to lose it's chrome (the original one was included though). The overall condition of the bike does seem consistent with his story - there is very little wear on anything, the painted cable ends are still there, etc.

I should also mention that the seller has a couple of other interesting bikes, including a gold plated Guerciotti "show bike" and a women's purple Colnago with gold plated lugs and fork. Both of these are in like-new condition. I recall his asking prices seemed high, but may be negotiable. I can pass along contact info if anyone is interested.
