Subject: [CR] Wanted: Hetchins history

To those living in the Long Beach area, I know this is a long shot, but.......

A couple of years ago, I bought a Hetchins complete bike off ebay. It came from Long Beach. It turns out that the seller is/was a pawn shop there. Pictures of the bike before and after are here;

http://www.hetchins.org/504key-03.htm I found the black anodising to be very striking. From my research, I am (almost?) convinced the "drillium" work was done by Art Stump. The seat post top clamps are milled from aluminum bar stock, which is not standard, and is exactly the same as the one shown on the CR Art Stump page. The frame also had a very striking paint scheme, which again was not a factory design. I wonder if there is any way to learn anything of the bike's history. Did anybody know this bike in its better days?

Tony,

I received the cranks yesterday, they're really nice and I can't wait to install them, thank you!
