I played with a nickel -silver silver compound with similar bad results! Ha! Takes some practice I guess!

No, every time I had the urge to try them, George was out, so I never acquired any... I would like to see frames built by him and others using these.

Hi Dale !

I remember that brochure. I ordered a set of dropouts back in the early -mid 80's, I think. Saw some on a Chris Chance frame and I thought they looked sweet. I tried brazing them as per the instructions, with nickel-silver brass. That was a terrible brazing misadventure, they needed to be heated much more than I was used to to get the brass to flow and adhere, and I ended up re-doing the joint with some slotted internal slugs and silver. That was * much* easier with better results.

Did you ever build with any of his lugs ?

I don't think I have ever seen more than a scant few frames (if that) with those things.
