You will probably get lots of advice on this, but here is mine
1. Check to make sure the cranks are French threaded. I say this because I had a blue men's./mixte version of this and I don't remember it having French threads. I DO remember some issues with the rear hub, spokes, and axle. A Phil Wood finally fixed those issues.
2. You may be better off taping 9/16 threads in those arms anyway. This will give you a much larger pool of possibilities for pedals.
This is not hard to do, I've done it without taking the cranks off of the bike..
Your local bike shop can do it (Find the old gnarled gray haired guyed in the back to talk to) OR you can buy the tap set and do it.
