Typically pull one out and ride it for a week, then move on to another one. This rotation usually sees each and every bike makes it out on the road. For winter riding, I use the Alan "Team Fanini" Carbonio with quick-release fenders (i.e., when the PA roads have salt and cinder residue). Have to say that my favorite is the one that I am riding at the moment!
I am one of the firm believers that all bikes should be ridden since that's what they were made for.
