BERMA was originally an acronym for BERtocco MArio, who founded the company in the 1930's; it later came to stand for BErtocco Renzo, Mario, and Antonio (all Bertocco...not Burtocco... family)

All,

Just received a donation to the University of California Davis bicycle collection. The bike is a 1975 custom made racing model built by the Burtocco brothers in Padova, Italy. The women that donated it had it built when she lived in Italy. She used to race and took excellent care of the bike. She went to the shop on a daily basis to watch her frame being built. Frame is a light gold mettalic with blue transffers. Loads of lug cut-outs, nicely thinned, patographed crown and seat stay caps, fluted campy seat post with matching blue flutes. Brooks narrow pro saddle with drillium and modified rivets. This bike is in excellent condition and truly stunning. Any thoughts, stories, or musings? Will take photos hopefully by the end of the day and post.
