I've got a few questions regarding Cinelli Pista details
1) Roughly when did the cinelli pista fork crowns switch from having a slot on the shoulders to a hole? 2) When was the bottom bracket stamped "CINELLI S.C. MADE IN ITALY" used ? 3) When did the famous 3 hole lugs come into play? Some sources site early 60's while others claim post '68. 4) Not quite a cinelli question, I have seen pista headsets with a large 'clamp' on the steerer tube under the top nut. What was that for? 5) The 'Flying C' logo was developed in 1978. Did the older style decals continue to be used past '78? 6) Were bright coloured base coats ever used under metallic paint finishes or does this just indicate a repaint?
