So the moral of the story is:

Remove the cats before removing the Cat Eyes.

(Sorry, couldn't help myself.)

The story. I was recently given a Raleigh Super Course, the serial number indicates the frame dates from September 1978. The bike was in a dusty, very slightly used condition, with less than 100 miles on it.

Anyway I put it on the work stand to clean it up and remove the monstrous cateye reflectors. One of my cats did not approve of the attention the bike was getting and when I went to look at it yesterday I found that the left barcon cover was showing some silver and had been vigorously chewed.

And that brings me to my request for a replacement Suntour bar end shifter cover in black with Raleigh labeling. I'm not a big fan of shifter covers, but they seem to fit the spirit and originality of the bike and I like to try to keep them on it, but those reflectors had to go. :-)

Please let me know if you have one (or two) of the shifter covers, I'm happy to pay a reasonable price and postage to Canada. I can do Paypal.

Thanks,
