Perhaps the best site for very full information about the Carlton marque is http://www.carltoncyclesme.uk/home.

This is a private site with an immense amount of information. Unfortunately the very dedicated owner is having to give up the site and is looking for someone to take it over. It would be tragic if all this info disappears.

Another Carlton site is http://www.carltoncycles.com organised by cycle dealer and ex-Carlton craftsman Dave Marsh. Perhaps Dave should take over the other Carlton site.

Hope this info helps you sort out your queries.
