I can't understand such announcements.
Is it that some people do not realize (in spite of monthly notifications) that they themselves can simply set up their membership account to receive NO E-MAIL NOTIFICATIONS - either immediate or in digest form?
Several years ago I had decided to simply bookmark the archives page to instantly retrieve the current day's entries and then I view the recent posts at my leisure. No mailbox clutter - EVER - yet I can still post to the list, if or whenever I may wish to do so.
It is odd to see members occasionally publicly requesting removal from the list, as if it were a form of personal protest, when there had been no offensive posts directed toward them... ever!
