Subject: [CR] Leather bar wrap: Any current interest?

I am contemplating putting together a small order of the leather bar wrap I used of offer folks a few years ago. It is very heavy and somewhat utilitarian and is made by a small Amish harness shop in Pennsylvania. Folks seem to feel it was very beautiful on the bike. It was available in black, brown and a honey that more or less matched Brooks honey color (this will be close, but by no means guaranteed under the best of circumstances. Too many variables in both the wrap finishing process and the patination of such saddles. You probably will have to tweak it a bit to get just the color you want. All this assumes I can even get it anymore. The one time two man harness shop has some fairly large contracts now to produce a couple of other things. In the past I have been able to provide it I the $35 range. Not sure what it would go for today.

If there is sufficient interest I will try and get some. Let me know what you think. Bear in mind you are not dealing with a regular business here and there may well be some hiccups. If you can't stand that, buy it from Brooks, there's is lovely, if expensive and somewhat prone to fading. Shipping it outside the U.S. is expensive and a bit difficult, I can try it, but prefer to stay within the U.S. It is a bit challenging to apply, but I have some good hints. You may want to enlist a more skilled friend if you are not ok with this.

Here is what it looks like on one of my bikes. http://tinyurl.com/4f2staw

Let me know what you think.
