I'm writing an article for Cyclocross Magazine discussing the history of cyclo-cross tires. From what I've gathered thus far, most riders prior to 1950 used road tires. In 1950, Clement started manufacturing cyclo-cross tires, and they were generally considered the gold standard for tires for many, many decades that followed. I'd like to learn more about some of the more obscure tires: Barum, Wolber, Pneudan, Cole(?), Dourdoigne, and some very durable and quite rare tires that were simply stamped 'U.S.S.R' or 'C.C.C.P'. If you have any information or photographs of tires used in decades past, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks.

Dan
