Your suggestion reminds me of how foolish I felt after Andy Gilmour about the tubes in a bike for which I was the second owner and in possession of name and date of the original, commissioning owner. Andy replied, by email, that he chose the tubes he thought right for the client (as well, I thought, of stunning paint by Crispani (?) in Tuscon and "tout Mavic" built-up.
"Of course", and I felt stupid to have asked.
