Thanks to all those who expressed an interest in the headbadge from the 1960 Dawes that was headed (past tense) for the local dump.
Most people wanted the badge for their collection, which is fine. However, Sam DiBartolomeo-what a guy!-has offered to meet the cost of shipping the frame to America so he can fix it!
Thus, another frame-around 40-years-old in this case-is saved from the dreaded crusher.
Sam said he enjoys fixing frames as a stress-reliever: this one should relieve a lot of stress...
He's promised to make available some photographs of the final product, all shiny and ready for the road. Actually, he hasn't but he can hardly back out now!
