I read too much on this list, and others, how the "good old days" are over. Of course that's why they called them the "good old days." Anyway I have two examples of why the bike world isn't going to hell in a handbag. The first is a movie review in the August issue of Bike, yes the MTB magazine from the creators of Surfing. On page 34 Mike Ferrentino gives a wonderful review of "La Course en Tete" the fine film about Merckx. Second was looking at the new Moser bikes, 4 are silver fillet brazed, 2 lugged, and the three aluminum look like ground down double pass welds like the older Kleins. All the bikes look "classic" and made from all the new "super" materials. These are but two examples of how things really haven't changed. enjoy and always keep your eyes open, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives
