One of those "less memorable bikes" is quite memorable to me. As a teenager I recieved an S10-S to replace a too small Schwinn Varsity. This is the bike that started my interest in bikes, riding and racing. I put alot of miles on it and learned the ins and outs of maintenance/upgrading. The OE Suntour derailers (including the backwards pull front derailler) were swapped with Campys (as funds became available) and the wide ratio cluster was replaced with "racing" gears. Those silly reflectors on the pedals so severely hindered cornering that I jambed one in the pavement bad enough to throw me to the ground and pretzel the rear wheel. So much for CPSC "improvements". Thanks for the literature Lee.
