AH, this is the very bike. Orange with lugs outlined (sloppily) in gold, with world championship bands, cottered cranks, CLB Racer brakes, Simplex derailluers, San Marco plastic saddle with loads of springs, lots of eyelet's, and "Made in Belgium." The bike suffered only from benign neglect and with a bit of cleaning, new tires and tubes and wheel truing would be in riding shape. Not really all that bad, not a showpiece -- but didn't seem like junk either. One of those workmanly bikes that folks road.
For $50.00 I would have bought it, but at about 58 cm I can't get over the top tube. Thanks to everyone who answered. Aren't you glad its not another one of those pesky Masi threads?
