My favourite little-known French brand is the Elvish brand. It make some people think of Elvis and others think of a production line manned by elves. I bought my mother and father one each in the early 80's and they both still have and enjoy them. They came with upright bars, full alloy mudguards, rear racks, alloy chainguard, carbon steel frames and hook bead alloy superchampion rims. A great bike for an even better price. If I ever found some more of these, I would recommend them to all my friends who are looking for a bike to occasionally ride around the neighbourhood.
