Yes, rare, but Marc Borel knows better than I.

My local bike shop, that also happened to do business as Euro Asia Imports too, brought in a few in the 1980s. Very exotic for the time: oval tubes with lugs and a very, very skinny seat post. Colnago went to a lot of trouble to make up a lugset to work with the oval tubes. Very beautiful bike in an exotic way and it didn't hurt to have the Modolo Crono brakes too, even though they didn't stop. I don't think many numbers of these Colnagos were made. (The Eddy Merckx MX Leader [Motorola team bike] with oversize tubes and _lugs_ is going to be very collectable at some point in the future for the same and more reasons.)

Price? Not many know or care about the Colnago Oval Cx (cx = drag coefficient). It is a situation where for the most part, collectors don't know yet that they really, REALLY are going to want one in the future! You can be ahead of the curve, Matteo! Or be stuck with one (we use the term "married") ;)
