Correct me if I'm wrong but maybe Universal Super 68's were used because of brake bridge location. I know that on my Cinelli, to use nouvo record brakes it was necessary to use a drop bolt. I don't think the nuovo record brakes had that long of a reach. Nobody mentioned this. Most of the discussion revolved around price comparisons. But maybe I'm stating the obvious. I am new at this.
