The name Dunelt is a combination of the names of two founders, Dunford and Elliot. Originally steel makers in Sheffield, started making motorcycles in Birmingham in 1919, many having Sturmey Archer engines and gearboxes. At Larz two years ago, I saw a Dunelt bicycle, probably from the early 60's, that was built of DB 531, with mostly period Campagnolo components and Weinmann brakes. Long wheelbase, what may have been Capella lugs, pencil-like stays, neat!
