I believe in this case, the bike is an 'honest' Campagnolo bike. Campagnolo has supplied technical neutral support for years and they always have extra wheels and bikes ready for those racers with technical problems. I know that there was a period in the early 80's that they were Murray branded bikes (Steve Bauer finished second in some major race on just such a bike after a technical problem with his Colnago), but it would not be at all surprising if Campagnolo USA also went to Serotta for their bikes. This is the only explanantion that I can come up with for the fact that there is the Campagnolo logo on the fork crown. I can't imagine Campagnolo giving permission to Serotta to use this logo, unless with proper permission.
