Hi Rod, I'm 6'2", when I buy pants, I usually buy a 34"inseam. I consider 175 my main length and am equally comfortable with 177.5s. I find 180s too long me (on a road bike), they make me feel like I'm pedaling "squares." I have some 172.5s that I think I will be equally comfortable with, but find 170s to be too short. My theory is that you can use 2.5mms either side of your main length, without having to retrain. More than that, and you have to ride into it.
