Jerry,
The Mavic derailleurs like yours have a slot in the
cage where the lower body pivot attaches. The range,
depending where the cage is located, is from 24 to 30
teeth. The bolt, however, is aluminum and quite
delicate; there's a flange at the cage end that can
break off if overtightened. Email me direct if you
want me to scan and mail the page of the Mavic manual
that deals with it.
