Wow! Thanks to everyone who wrote me with input on my what-gruppo-for-a-Paramount 50th question. I got lots of good information, and made some new friends, too. Just what the list is supposed to be about!

I was able to pick up an Anniversary Gruppo front derailleur, ( I already had the rear ) and a pair of calipers on eBay, but the Anniversary Gruppo is just too hard to come by. Oh well, refer to Bill's Rule of Collecting # 1: There's no such thing as too much Campy! So I have decided to go with C-Record. Now, I suddenly find this area of my Campy education sadly lacking, I'm more of a 60's/70's kind of guy. So, all you wonderful guys and gals out there, warm up your keyboards, I've got some C-Record questions.

Now I've checked all the sites that deal in Campy and all seem to have a gap between the mid 80's and early 90's...so, can someone tell me were the first Super Record brakes (as I have read on eBay) also the first C-Record brakes? Then Delta, then Cobalto? Which is correct for 1988? I've picked up a set of never laced C-Record hubs that are threaded for a cluster. Based on axle spacing, these are correct for the frame, right? And not the cassette version? Had Campy started making rims by then, if so what's appropriate? Also, I've seen two different cranks and BBs for C-Record, one with the old style bolt arrangement, and one with the new(er) internal mounting. Which is correct for 1988? And lastly, I think I've seen C-Record shift levers advertised as for 6 speed, or eight speed. Do I need to make sure the rear derailleur and the shifters are a match. Again what's correct for 1988?

And "Lastly #2": I think this is a little out of time and maybe off-topic, but since disseminating information is what the list is all about, Dale, I hope this is OK.

Thanks to all in advance, maybe I'll make some more new friends.
