That works well also, although eventually the oil will come out and make a mess of your bike. It helps if after you have oiled it, you use your finger to work some heavy grease into the gap between the inner and outer bodies to seal the oil inside. It'll still come out eventually, but it takes much longer if you seal it up this way.
