Well, I don't think it's false at all!

If the question, as framed, is which BIKE won the most Tour de France, the answer of Peugeot is as right as right can be!

Now, you may rightly state a cycle race is won by cyclist and not cycle, but let those who frame the question get the correct answer to it. Which apparently IS Peugeot.

As for French vs. Italian, I can only remind that we are called Classic RENDEZVOUS and all look forward to the CIRQUE. Sounds like at least linguistically, the French have won the day.

I just got back from riding my PX-10 and had an African taxi driver call out "Hey, Pingeon!" as we passed... I am not sure it was because of the bike (did not he win the '67 TdF on a Peugeot and not his usual Mercier?) or my Pingeon-esque knotty knees! Anyway, it's great to cycle in city that's always been partial to French bikes.
