Lace the off side of the hub into a rim. Doesn't have to be neat or proper, or even complete, but you've got to have the leverage of the rim. Doesn't matter what rim. Clamp the hub, you'll destroy it. If you use the future intended rim and the future intended spokes, it'll be fine -- the spokes will just be a bit curly, a bit of a pain in the heiny for the real build-up, but workable.

It can be done.
