I did warranty replacement judgments for Trek for a while -- you wouldn't believe some of the stuff people threatened. One fellow was going to sue us because he got hit by a car while riding after dark without lights. He felt it was our responsibility to provide lights for all our bikes. "It's your fault that I'm stupid!"

Another woman wanted to sue because her son ran into the back of a parked car with his bike, and the frame was ruined. "When you spend over $200 for a bike, that shouldn't happen!" I wonder if she'd use the same logic if she ran her $30,000 car into a parked car and totaled it?
