Dear Doug

I am sorry to hear that we are to lose yet another of the Brit members from the list, not all for the same reason I might add, but a great loss nevertheless. It does seem to be a trait of some contributors that it is not enough to have a different viewpoint, which is acceptable to us all and contributes to the greater debate, but to attack and ridicule another list member simply because they have a different view. There are certainly those who feel they have to make a comment about anything and everything, whether they have knowledge of the matter or not. The aggressive tone of some members does, I am sure, deter others from making what could be a valuable contribution and we are all the poorer for that. I have enjoyed your contributions in the past, and hope that you will continue to keep in touch with those of us who share my appreciation.

Seasons Greetings to you and all list members.
