Actually, The Ax posts came in at least 3 shapes that I've found so far.

The pic linked below shows from left to right a Columbus Air post, A dura aca AX, A Shimano 600AX of which I have the same shape in Dura ace, and another 600AX post.

None of the Ax posts I have fit columbus Air tubing. And the leftmost Ax

one won't fit tange either. Maybe Reynolds Speedstream? but I don't have a speedstream frame to try it in. Of the two other profiles, I think the more pointed one is perhaps earlier. It fits one tange frame, but not another, where the oval ones fit all three of the tange frames I have.

Actually Dura Ace AX only made one oval post ( two ovals show in their catalog, one for Columbius aero tubing but as far as I know were never
produced.)
