Subject: [CR]Identifying a bike. British. Late 50's / 60s?

Hello all,

Please can anyone help identify this bike. I had thought it was a Carlton based upon the way the seat stays wrap around the seat post, however the lugs are not right and the frame number has too many digits : W I got the bike looking decidedly second hand in around 1974. The components that are probably original are the brakes GB Sport Mk3 and the saddle - Lycett Swallow.

I have photographed some of the most relevant bits of the bike in what should be a publically available album here...

There is also a photo of it after a bit of a freshen up with Rover metallic green fading into Ford metallic blue. Not exactly vintage, but it looks pretty.

Thanks,
Allan
