Many thanks to the several kind people who responded off-list to my jejune question, and did so without condescension. I found to my embarrassment that it was somewhat cryptically answered in the "welcome to the list" email that I neglected to read. Less cryptic was the requirement that all posts include full address particulars, which I had observed only in the breach. I also discovered, to my even greater dismay, that my cherished Raleigh outfitted with full Campy Super Record regalia, the one I built and have owned and prized for a generation, is OT (also in the intro mailing) because the frame serial number and the stampings on locknuts betray it as fabricated in 1984, putting it and me beyond the pale.
