Subject: [CR]Price Guide

A simple price guide would most benefit beginning and mid-level collectors. These folks represent the bulk of collectors and the future of the hobby. It probably wouldn't help the dealer or seasoned collector who already has this info at his fingertips. Perhaps these are the same guys who won't share price information but, after sales are over, belittle buyers for "paying too much". If people want information kept secret, it's almost always to benefit them at the expense of others. Almost every other form of item sold has some sort of price guide. In fact there is an Internet site price guide for vintage steel bikes, but it's outdated. Obviously CR, which, quite rightly, has its rules, is not the place for a price guide. But the Internet has space for everything. What's the real objection to a price guide? George George Hollenberg MD Westport, CT, USA
