Both of mine are drilled. If you look through the old Paramount catalogs, it shows fork drilling as an option -- if I remember correctly it was an extra $5. Most people must have elected to have the drilling because I've also noticed most Paramount track bikes are drilled, although I have seen undrilled Paramounts, too. The front brake itself was also an option for an additional charge, and when I got my 1971 chrome Paramount track bike it came with the original Weinmann brake.

Some of us have been discussing off list whether perhaps all Paramount track bikes were drilled for front brakes. All three that I have owned (All from the '70s) were. Perhaps just all from this era were drilled thus?

We are of the thought that perhaps Ron Boi might know for sure.might anyone have contact information for him or be in contact so that they might pose the question to him?

Are there original undrilled Paramount track bikes out there?
