Once again Jim Huntington put on a nice event. Pulled up to the hall in the dark and there were cars and pickups bristling w/ bikes of all types,, The guys from Philly had 35 bikes piled on top of their van! what a statement! ground zero, honey we've arrived! We got there at 6 and the action was already happening. The usual cast of characters were there, many CR types, Eddie A., Billy R,Sam Fitz., Steve K. Maurice, Norm La F.,Curtis, Joel-Ralph,Paul R. Larkin L.Scott E., drawing a blank here , I know I'm forgetting some,,, I'm beat, help! I sold a lot off my table, my sweetie Kendall played cashier,,, I swear a couple of you guys bought anything just so you could talk to her,,, you know who you are! I sold a few handfuls of lugs, some track hubs, nr crankset,Talbots frame building book, some T.A. parts, Weinmann and Mafac pieces, handlebars a bunch of decals,,,the Cinelli display stand, thanks Greg!an early Simplex derailleur, a stem w/ decalleur attached etc.etc. Oh, and I took an order for a randonneur frame, all in all a good day.
Proud of myself as I only bought a few things,,,a nice Ideale 92 Diagonal saddle, a clean Fiamme stem, a few nos early non-frame fit silcas $10.00 each which I thought were the deal until I saw "Ralph" walk by with the Ad-Hoc pump he bought for A (1)dollar!!! I'd say some guys have all the luck,,, but "Ralph" is a real pro! We packed up around noon and had a nice sunny drive home through the country side. Thanks again Jim, and to all who stopped by our table and said hello.
