Hi list. I must say for me EBay has been generally a good experience. In over 400 transactions {all purchases} there has been only a hand full of problems. 4 or 5 things simply didn't show up ,postal system? or dishonest seller ? we will never know. A couple of things not quite as described or damaged , all the sellers except one immediately put things right. In all a pretty good record. EBay itself however is useless in doing anything if a seller, {or I would imagine a purchaser } turns out to be dishonest. You can make a claim , but I fear there is little chance of ever getting your money back. If things have to go as far as making a claim it appears to me that you have encountered a dishonest seller. Any of the honest sellers I have encountered have offered solutions long before the claim step. The one claim I did pursue ultimately failed because there was no funds in the sellers account. As far as EBay is concerned that's the end of the line, not a very satisfactory result in my opinion. The change to the feedback policy does seem like the wrong thing to do. It does seem to put the seller at a disadvantage, I can see no reason for this . Hopefully E bay will reverse it's policy and make the field level once again. Greg Lone Langley B.C. Canada
